LCD HDTV should I go?
I see a lot of movies (1080i via cable) and a lot of SD programming to 480p all the cable. need advice for a 50 "HDTV Not three im considering: 1. Sony Bravia KDL-50W4100 2. Samsung LN52-A650 3. Samsung LN52-A550 did not know where you go, I know that Sony has 8bit color compared to samsungs with 10 bit processing. I also heard the picture quality of Sony is soft and bad black levels. the A550 no 120Hz (but not much watch sports, mostly movies). A650 IS red and has a lot of thought but besides that I havent heard anything bad about the Samsung A650. so, what should I go? btw money is not a problem here which can give either of them, I want the best quality.
Because money is not important, go for the latest Sony and Samsung models: The price of the Sony XBR 8 has finally been announced by Sony. Alright so let's just say the Samsung 9 Series seems his cast really the best … Sony XBR 8 40 "goes for $ 5,000! Sony XBR 8 55" going for = $ 7,000! Sony has announced a new size of the XBR 7 and introduced a new model as well, ZX. The new 52 "XBR Sport 7 is 240 Hz and normal CCFL backlight and the new model ZX is 9.9mm thin and with LED backlight 120 Hz Sony 240 Hz announced! And thinnest TV World! Sony announces first 240 Hz sets will this November 10th in Japan and the States in December. Many 240Hz wonder why and how best to make this increase? To put things into perspective why there is 120 Hz to fix the problem happens with Jutta with the 60 Hz 120Hz problem is that while improving the issue also creates some additional objects that makes the image was not as real or also known as the Soap Opera effect. Or you love him or hate him. The problem is that it introduces some new issues that solves one problem but creates another. We made some progress with the new 120Hz technology but Sony figures if they make a set of 240 Hz is going to solve the problems and not create another. The original idea was 240 Hz from Samsung, but it seems that Sony made the first blow in the extent to release date is concerned. One thing to note is how the specific version that touts 240Hz use the standard CCFL backlight and not the backlight LED. My main interest is whether the 240Hz technology that is due in the U.S. will the XBR 6 or a new time as … XBR 9? Also contrasting sets of 240 Hz is no different with this technology. In other words, the 240Hz is expected to only create a more realistic flow of fast motion. The image quality will not change drastically by any means. My bet is that the LED models are even better than standard CCFL backlighting with 240Hz sets. In the same announcement from Sony says they are also making the thinnest TV (Phillips just announced 8mm). This will be a new model as well and be 9.9mm thick. See image below. The game will not have anything special besides the fact that it is thin. What would a Samsung 8 Series. Specs good, but not the flag ship. This is purely for looks and for those who want the television to be as flush as possible with the wall when mounted. Samsung Series 9 Comments so far the highly anticipated new LED Backlight LCD Samsung is finally trickling into users' hands. Samsung has a lot to live too and a lot of competition coming out soon from Sony in the XBR 8. Things that we heard until now: the image quality is AMAZING. Black is BLACK! Details in black fall short of expectations in Black is so black that I see the bars on the possibility of images Widescreen 8 × 8 = 64 zones intelligent local dimming LED swivel stand not not affect Halo as 81 sets of losing the smallest detail is intelligent LED dimming is in TBE (Tri Ball Effect no) visible at low DSP modes, Med and High With all the things you said it's safe to say that this could easily be one of the best sets TV for the coming years. Granted OLED and FED sets are on the way for the future, today videophile looking for the best will have another option besides final model of the Pioneer Kuro plasma. Today is not available the big box retailers, but a handful of video phreakers finally got their fix. No major issues have surfaced yet, but this does not mean that their future could be some breaks out of trouble. One of the issues that has come to light on the discussion of the new series is the problem of LCD Lag. We are not talking about response time, but the real-time video processing. Lets understand this at once and for all for all you hardcore FPS fans and gamers. LCD are delayed, it is no secret. A CRT televisions still the best way to play very fast games like Halo, Unreal Tournament, COD etc … Its not a difference but in extreme cases of competition it a CRT can give an advantage to the professional level. This not a problem with this specific TV, but with all LCDs in general. I think it's safe to say that Samsung has hit a home run with this set. The main issue remains whether the Sony XBR 8 is hit a grand slam with his Tri RGB white LED technology against Samsung with LED technology. Update: Ok some people have a concern on the whole is the viewing angle. Apparently, if you sit in the center of the whole is perfect, but if you get a decent angle begins to lose image quality.
